While Dominic was going through treatment, I remember feeling like there had to be something more I could do for him.
He was strong—stronger than most—and stoic but even in that strength, the small, everyday things were hard… getting comfortable, staying warm, finding something to wear that actually worked for treatment.
I tried to make something myself.
And let’s just say… that did not go as planned.
I kept thinking: there has to be a better way to bring comfort, dignity, and ease to someone in the middle of a fight like that.
